It's now official : Gisele Bundchen is no longer a Victoria's Secret Angel.Gisele's agent has told people.com that she has in fact left VS. Apparently the reason is that she was demanding a raise in her $5 million a year salary to model lingerie for the brand, which they were not willing to pay- a source remarking they have "they have five new hotter, younger girls debuting next year".
“The long and fruitful relationship between Gisele Bundchen and Victoria’s Secret has reached a conclusion,” said Edward Razek, chief creative officer, Victoria’s Secret, in a statement. “We wish her all the best and thank her for her extraordinary work. She will continue to be a very visible party of the world’s sexiest brand through the remainder of the year.”
I will be sad to see her leave VS, however I anticipate she will now turn to focus more on her high fashion career and it will be good to see the old Gisele back! AND how could we forget....roll on the new Angel!
