VSFS 2007 Facts!

It's been a slow few days so I thought I'd give you all some interesting facts about this years Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

For over 8 months, an international team of renowned designers and stylists worked to design and create the sexy runway looks worn by the 30 supermodels at the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The show included 15 corsets, show pieces and accessories that were embellished with CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements and made exclusively for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show by Australian jewelry designer Jenny Manik Mercian and took over 6 months to make.

The lingerie, wings and scenery were embellished with more than 1 million CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements for the fashion show.

Parisian shoe designer Christian Louboutin made 75 pairs of custom designed shoes and boots especially for the show.

It required over 3 months and a team of 42 people to produce the 11 pairs of Angel wings that were designed by famed wingman Martin Izquierdo for this year's show.

The retractable snowflake wings worn by Supermodel Heidi Klum in the last section of the show was a first in that the beautiful snowflake expanded to 10 feet in width as she stepped out on to the runway.

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova's opening look featured a custom made outfit created by LeSage. This incredible creation was made of sequins and included a corset, jacket, boots and a headdress. Costing $20,000, it was the single most expensive outfit in the history of the fashion show.

Supermodel Selita Ebanks was also strutting down the runway in a high price tag herself. She modeled the Very Sexy Fantasy Set costing $4.5 million. This set was created exclusively for VS by famed international jeweler Mouawad.

For the first time ever, Victoria's Secret and Mouawad designed an entire set to go along with the Fantasy Bra and panty by adding a hair pin, garter and cuff. All pieces of the Fantasy gift set were encrusted with diamonds, emeralds, rubies and yellow sapphires taking over 880 hours to make.

This year's show included 2 feather trains and 1 cape that were all over 10 feet in length and took over 3 months to create. All of these masterpieces were made of rare feathers.
VS had to charter a DC-9 cargo plane and 63 foot line haul truck in order to ship the outfits, wings, shoes, makeup and wardrobe supplies from New York to Los Angeles for the show.

Twenty-five cartons of Very Sexy Makeup were shipped from New York to LA to be used on the models for the show.

Of course, the show would not be complete without shimmering, bronze, scented skin which is why the Victoria's Secret Bare Bronze Bronzing Booth was created exclusively for the show. Before hitting the runway, the Angels achieved their golden glow by using Bare Bronze Self-Tan Tint, Leg-Perfecting Spray Tint, Sexy Sparkle Shimmer Moisture Mist, Sexy Sparkle Body Oil and Body Powder.

It took 18 makeup artists, 15 hair stylists, 8 nail technicians, and 7 body bronzers to prep and a beautify the 30 models for the fashion show. Four massage therapists were also on hand to help the models unwind during their breaks.

Over 40 bottles of Victoria's Secret Sexy Sparkle Body Powder in Vanilla Gold was used to make the sexy bodies on the runway shimmer!

The most popular lipstick and lip gloss at the fashion show was undeniably Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup Perfect Lipstick in VIP and Very Sexy Makeup Lip Gloss in Intimate. So popular that the models wore the shades for the rest of the evening.

The sexy vibe continued on into the evening as the after party began at the Renaissance Hotel. Alessandra Ambrosio, Selita Ebanks, Adriana Lima, Izabel Goulart and Miranda Kerr were all spotted busting a move on the dance floor.

A party is the only way to describe the atmosphere backstage where the all of the models danced away to the music while they waited their turn to walk the runway.

Approximately 73 gallons of Imperia Vodka were consumed at the after party!

VSFS 2007

Last night saw the end of many months' excitement and speculation draw to a close - Victoria's Secret's, for this year anyway, were finally revealed to us all in the form of one amazing show and 31 stunning models from all over the world, plus a contest winner whose prize was to take part in the show....but as I'm sure you guessed, she wasn't exactly an ugly duckling and neither did she have an inch to pinch!

The final model list (with a few suprises) is as follows:

Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Karolina Kurkova, Miranda Kerr, Selita Ebanks, Izabel Goulart, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Andi Muise, Candice Swanepoel, Caroline Winberg, Marija Vujovic, Julia Stegner, Jessica Stam, Eugenia Volodina, Inguna Butane, Behati Prinsloo, Lindsay Ellingson, Elise Crombez, Michaela Kocianova, Flavia Oliviera, Oluchi Onweabega, Jessica White, Isabeli Fontana, Marisa Miller, Hana Sokoupova, Noemie Lenoir, Angela Lindvall, Erin Wasson and Morgane Dubled - plus the mystery contest winner.

Suprisingly, this year some previous fashion show favorites were missed out such as Ana Beatriz Barros, Heather Marks, Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly (she had family problems and had to cancel at the last minute). It also saw the return of old time favourite Isabeli Fontana after her pregnancy, plus Eugenia Volodina and Inguna Butane after a year away from the show.

Once you get past the army of gorgeous girls, the outfits were completely outrageous and in true V.S style totally and utterly fabulous! The themes for this year were; Blade Runner (futuristic animal prints), Age Of Elegance, Pink (road trip - with outfits from different states), Roman Antiques (pottery print), Surreally Sexy (impressionism art) and Deck the Halls (christmas decorations).

Angels At The Walk Of Fame

As part of the promotion of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show the V.S angels were given an Award Of Excllence at the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday - with blinding gold metallic jackets and all! Also, the angels made a store appearance to pose along with the hoilday season lingerie and well, just generally look good.

Also, more girls are added to list of who's in tomorrow's show: Andi Muise, Angela Lndvall, Caroline Winberg, Lindsay Ellingson and Quiana Grant.

And on a rather sadder note, Kanye West has cancelled his performance at the show following the recent death of his mother - it's not know if he'll be replaced but the Spice Girls and Seal are still performing.

Angels Arrive In LA

On Monday, 14 Victoria's Secret Angels flew on Virgin Airlines from NYC to LA in preparation for the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show which tapes on Thursday. There will be around 30 models in total, the rest of which are believed to be flying out on the day of the show due to prior commitments.

The girls confirmed for the show so far are as follows: Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller, Selita Ebanks, Miranda Kerr, Izabel Goulart, Jessica White, Oluchi Onweabega, Candice Swanepoel, Marija Vujovic, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Michaela Kocianova and Noemie Lenoir.

This is by no means the final list, I suspect Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Heather Marks will be back from last year; along with other regulars Andi Muise, Caroline Trentini, Morgane Dubled and Oluchi Onweabega - and no doubt there will be many more on top of that - only 2 weeks to the show now!

Flying High With Victoria's Secret

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a...Victoria Secret model? The Hollywood invasion of the scantily clad lingerie models is upon us.

On Nov. 12, nearly 30 models, including Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, Selita Ebanks, Marisa Miller and Miranda Kerr, will arrive in Los Angeles on a special Virgin America flight from New York City for the much anticipated Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which will take place three days later at the Kodak Theatre.

Not only will the plane be branded with the Victoria’s Secret logo, but each of the models will be resting their pretty little heads on custom pillows and wrapping their flawless bodies in matching blankets.

The next day, the models will shut down a part of Hollywood Boulevard when Victoria’s Secret gets its own star in front of the Kodak.

Angels To Join The Walk Of Fame

On Novemeber the 14th the Victoria's Secret Angels will recieve their own satr on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame where the most famous people in the world are accredited. It will be staged as part of the promotion for the 2007 VS Fashion Show and there will be a press conference at the time.

And another little note on the fashion show....not only will the Spice Girls be performing but Kanye West too! So far it's looking to one of the best, and certainly the most high profile, show yet!

VSFS 2007 Update

Well, Victoria's Secret have just released the official image of the 2007 Fantasy Bra to be worn in the VS Fashion Show that will be taped in mid November this year.

Every year one of the angels (currently Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Karolina Kurkova, Selita Ebanks, Izabel Goulart and Miranda Kerr) are chosen to wear the bra - in 2005 Gisele Bundchen opened the show wearing it and 2006 was Karolina's year. But this year, and it has come as a shock to many, Selita Ebanks has been chosen to wear the bra - and so far, I've not found one person who is happy about it.

To be honest, I don't blame them - Selita is one of the brand's newest additions (except for Miranda Kerr who was added to the angels lineup only a few months ago) and undoubtedly the least liked by the fashion following pack. I mean don't get me wrong, she's got a good body and is prettier than most but there are much more experienced girls at VS who a large majority of people feel deserve it more.

Take Alessandra for example....she's in her sixth year at VS, has been featuring heavily in the catalogues lately and has never worn the bra to date; another strong candidate was Adriana Lima, gorgeous brazilian and one of the longest serving angels along with Alessandra. Either of them would have made wonderful ambassadors for this year's bra, but no! VS have really got it wrong this time!

No need to worry too much about buying quick-selling Spice Girls comeback tour tickets -- Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively that the British bombshells will be performing at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

The fashion show, which marks the American TV debut of the Spice Girls’ comeback tour, will be held at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre, and will be taped on November 15. Last year's musical guest was superstar Justin Timberlake. A source tells Us that the Spice Girls "are rehearsing for it already. It's going be their big comeback appearance."

Representatives for Victoria's Secret and CBS did not return calls for comment.

Angel Airways Coming Our Way

Virgin America, the next generation airline today announced that it will partner with Victoria's Secret as the official "Airline of the Angels" for the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. On Nov. 12, one of Virgin America's brand new planes will be named in honor of Victoria's Secret and will fly 27 Victoria's Secret supermodels from New York to Los Angeles for the lingerie giant's annual fashion show.

This is a partnership made in heaven: some of the most beautiful women in the world flying one of the sexiest planes in the skies," said Charles Ogilvie, Director of Inflight Entertainment and Partnerships at Virgin America. "We can't wait for the supermodels to practice for their runway show in the aisles under our mood-lighting, chat with each other via our instant message system, grab a drink from the mini-bar or watch one of our 25 movies on demand inflight."

After touching down in Los Angeles on Nov. 12, the Victoria's Secret Angels will name their own Virgin America plane and officially kick off this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show with a press conference on the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will tape at the Kodak Theater on Nov. 15 and will be broadcast Tuesday, Dec. 4 (10:00 PM ET/PT), on the CBS television network.

As the official "Airline of the Angels," Virgin America and Victoria's Secret will also host the first ever in-flight supermodel PJ party on a Virgin America flight from New York to Los Angeles this November. Lucky guests will get to fly in style with the Victoria's Secret supermodels and check out the latest VS PJ fashions at 35,000 feet. The in-flight PJ party will be one of three exclusive PJ parties hosted by Victoria's Secret this holiday season.

VSFS 2007 Announced

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be broadcast Tuesday, Dec. 4 (10:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Victoria's Secret President and CEO Sharen Turney and supermodels Karolina Kurkova and Selita Ebanks announced plans for the new special to press immediately following the ringing of the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

Top models appearing in The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will include Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Karolina Kurkova and Selita Ebanks. Hamish Hamilton is the director.

Also, american model Marisa Miller, a long time favourite in the VS catalogs and regular Sports Illustrated fixture ,will make her debut at the VSFS this year.
